Christmas: December 25, 2014

Merry Christmas from the Keathleys! This post arrives way too late, as did my Christmas cards this (last) year.  In fact, I think I still have a bunch that need to be delivered....
We baked...
We unwrapped presents...
We posed for pictures...
We opened our stockings...

We decorated our gingerbread house...
We frosted cupcakes and sang Happy Birthday to Jesus...
We heard Devon singing with his preschool class at the Christmas program...

So WHACK went the AXE
and DOWN went the TREE
and OFF he WENT to a HAPPY FAMILY!!!
...and that was Christmas.  We toasted the new year with sparkling cider, celebrating one year as Maryland residents and occupants of our house.
This is how I want to remember the best part of Christmas this year, or enormous tree!  When the kids got up from an afternoon rest three days after Christmas and found the room bare again and the tree resting horizontal in the front yard, they couldn't help but be a little crestfallen.  Not to worry, Mommy!  We'll just go out and decorate it again..... sideways!!!!  They've referred to it several times since then and wondered when we will get another tree.  Ahhh, childhood.  If a tree is good, it should last forever.....
